Early LifeEdit

Sue Ellen Ewing was raised by a single mother, Patricia Shepard, with one sister, Kristin. She was raised to be the perfect wife for a wealthy Texan man, and went to University of Texas, was invited to join all the sororities but pledged one, and was part of the cheerleading team. She was also Miss Texas in the Miss America pageant.

She married J.R. Ewing in 1970, after meeting him when he was a judge at one of her pageants. They divorced in 1981, and their marriage was always miserable for Sue Ellen, due to the fact that J.R. constantly had affairs, and rarely showed any interest in her.

For a long part of their marriage, she was in love with her husband's nemesis, Cliff Barnes. When she became pregnant with her son John Ross, she believed Cliff might have been the father and fell into heavy drinking while pregnant, which led to a drunk driving accident, resulting in her giving birth to her son prematurely.

She also suffered postpartum depression after giving birth, but eventually moved in with Dusty Farlow and divorced her husband, getting custody of their son John Ross. They eventually remarried in 1982, and in 1983, she began an affair with a college student named Peter Richards, who her husband got arrested on trumped up drug charges for revenge. She miscarried a child in 1984 without knowing if the child belonged to J.R. or Peter Richards.

Life After J.R.Edit

In 1988, she made a feature film hoping to get revenge on J.R. with the help of filmmaker Don Lockwood, whom she married in 1991. She moved to London with him and her son John Ross.

Sometime later, she divorced Don and returned to Dallas.

By 2012, Sue Ellen became a powerful woman in Dallas, leading successful fundraising campaigns and making connections with influential Texas. Her success led to her running for Governor of Texas, with campaign backers alreading lining up to support her.
